Winter Getaway 2016 – Heart Warming Winter in La Conner

winter getaway 2016The holidays are over and it’s time to sit back and relax a little bit. Plan your La Conner Winter Getaway 2016 with our January Events and Happenings. After all, you’ve probably been rushing around since before Thanksgiving!

Perhaps a renewing day-trip or overnight excursion to La Conner is just the ticket for a winter getaway in 2016. We have lots of fun things to do and see – whether you’re in need of a cozy fireplace and a warm drink, a little shopping for YOU this time, or a walk along our boardwalk in the fresh air, we’re just the place!

The snow geese and trumpeter swans make the Skagit Valley their winter home. Plan a day trip or a getaway to view these magnificent birds. Stop by the visitor information center for viewing maps and identification cards.  The Skagit Eagle Festival is happening in January as well which means it is a great time to watch the eagles along the Skagit River and in an around La Conner!
