First, explore our lodging options – we have romantic hotels and bed and breakfast inns, plus vacation rentals right in town and just a short drive away. Many have fabulous views – across the Skagit Valley and to Mount Baker, or water views of the Swinomish Channel or the Skagit Bay.

Getting here is easy – we’re just a short 1-hour drive from Seattle and 1.5 hours from Vancouver, B.C. Whether you’re coming from the south or north, follow the exit signs for La Conner.

Once you’re settled in your room, take a stroll to the main business areas of La Conner on both Morris and First Streets – we suggest an afternoon ice cream cone and a walk along our new Boardwalk is a great way to relax and unwind.

Depending on when you arrive, you can start exploring all that La Conner has to offer right away, or start on your second day. Either way, here are some terrific ideas to get you started.

We have several options for you to choose from, including Hellam’s Vineyard Wine Shop and Wine Bar at the north end of First Street in the Lime Dock building, Silver Bell Winery located on the west side of our main Gilkey Square, and many of our fine restaurants. Choices include wines made right here in the Skagit Valley and Washington state, regional wines, and wines imported from famous wine regions around the globe. You’ll find wines to meet every palate – and knowledgeable wine purveyors to help you select wines to take home with you.  If you also would like to include a drive around the valley, check out great day trips to local vineyards.

La Conner Brewing Company, located on First Street, has won awards from the great American Beer Festival, United States Beer Tasting Championships and the World Beer Cup. The interior is a charming mix of pale and gleaming wood finishes and hip local art –the friendly and knowledgeable staff is happy to help you explore their current beer and menu offerings. The La Conner Pub & Eatery is the quintessential small-town ‘tavern’ … good food, a fun atmosphere and great staff, and a patio perfect for dining during our summer weather.
